We made a radio controlled hovercraft. First we were controlling with a controller of the PlayStation 3 using Arduino. Unfortunately the hovercraft did not move all control in this way. The hovercraft was lifted up and we could steer the rudder, but the engine at the rear did not give enough power to advance the thing.
In fact, the engine was running at top speed. Rightly, the ESC (drive) has not been calibrated in the right path. It was very difficult to calibrate the ESC again, using the PS3 controller. (The ESC seemed not to react).
So our idea was to control the hovercraft with a radio transmitter. We removed the part of the Arduino and calibrated to the ESC again this way tested the hovercraft. What it looked like:
Hope you like it!
PS: Should I do a step-by-step instructable?
EDIT: I made one, find it here:
