It is a  very easy and quick recipe  to prepare since in less than 30 minutes you have a very complete dish that will make you stay in luxury, I assure you. Also, you will not put the kitchen potatoes upstairs since you only need a bowl and a casserole or frying pan. Do not tell me you do not like the idea.

This is the typical recurring food that you can eat daily. The little ones and, of course, the not so small ones will love it because who does not like a juicy chicken coated with a rich cheese sauce? Who does not like to raise your hand.

Well, out of joke, in my house you eat a lot because it is one of your favorite dishes and I love it because it is a very economical dish. So what else can you ask for?

Ingredients 

2 chicken breasts

2 cheeses

1 onion

3 cloves of garlic

Extra virgin olive oil

Salt

Pepper

Nutmeg

Parsley or chives to decorate

Chicken in cheese sauce. Easy and quick recipe: step by step

1.- The first thing is to put in a bowl the breasts cut into bite-size pieces, more or less than 2 cm thick, add a little salt, pepper and a pinch of walnut Moscada although you can add other spices if you prefer. Remove and let marinate a few minutes.

2.- While you are chopping the onion and the garlic.

3.- Now put a pot on the fire with a splash of oil and seal the breasts so they do not lose their juices and do not dry out. As soon as they have lost their rosy color, you take them out of the casserole and the reserves.

4.- In the same casserole you throw a tad of oil, the onion and the garlic. Add some salt so that the onions sweat and lose the water and you also throw in some freshly ground pepper. Stir and simmer for a few minutes until the onion becomes transparent and this soft.

5.- When you see that it is made, add the cream, the cheeses in pieces and mixtures.

6.- You add the powdered cheese, although if you prefer you can change it for grated cheese or grate your own cheese that you have at home, yes, it has to be flavored because if you put a soft one you take away all the grace to the sauce that is what will flavor the chicken. Mix it well and cook a few minutes over low heat.

Final preparation 

7.- When the sauce reaches a texture similar to the bechamel, add the chicken and mix again. Tapas and let cook about 5 minutes to finish the chicken. You have to remove from time to time so that it does not hit.

8 .- Finally, turn off the fire and let it rest a few minutes. And you have the chicken ready to give you a good tribute.

More tricks and tips 

If you want the lighter sauce, you can change the cream for evaporated milk.

I have preferred the whole breasts but you can change them for steaks, drumsticks, drumsticks, wings …

You can also cut the chicken into strips instead of dice.

The longer you let the chicken rest, the more flavor it will have.
